The world is gradually evolving and shifting the focus to Big Data. The latter is an innovation that promises to offer real-time analysis of specific issues at any given time. Interestingly, we would be seeing the interoperability of that and blockchain towards finding a solution to some problems in the global transportation industry.

The Focus is on the Logistics Industry

The logistics system is one of the most hit by problems in the transportation sector. Besides, China is one of the countries that have a robust delivery/logistics system. With the current issues in that niche, it may be a difficult task to scale through without getting into any of the problems.

The GOOSE Q Solution

Blockchain technology continues to evolve and is reaching into many industries, and has taken a new dimension. The focus is on the use of the GOOSE Q blockchain to solve many of the problems in the Chinese transportation industry, with particular regard to logistics.

Statement of the Problems

As earlier noted, the Republic of China has one of the most significant delivery systems in the world. However, that milestone tends to be undermined by the variety of problems that ravage the industry,

Top on the list is the high spate of road accidents that involve many trucks that are on the way to deliver products to consumers. As of 2016, the number of trucks in the country was over 13.5 million. In the same regard, the number of deaths and injuries recorded in the same year were pegged at 48.23% and 27.81%, respectively. The figures go to show that road accidents involving trucks were on the increase.

Other problems in the industry include a lack of relevant data that could have helped the relevant authorities to fix the issues. Nevertheless, not to worry, the GOOSE Q blockchain is here to offer an array of features to correct these issues.

The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)

This system is designed to help the GOOSE Q blockchain in gathering sufficient data about truck drivers’ lifestyles. Ideally, the platform delegates hardware and software devices to trucks registered with it. That way, the tools with IoT connectivity, would be able to “feed” the blockchain with sufficient information/data about the activities of the drivers while at work.

For instance, through this medium, the blockchain would be able to decipher when the driver(s) gets drowsy. Such behavior tends to trigger accidents because the driver(s) would lose control of the vehicle. The ADAS feature can also help the drivers to maintain the right lane to avoid a collision while driving.

Big Data Collection Possibilities with 4G/5G

The GOOSE Q blockchain is also working tenaciously to improve on its Big Data capabilities. That informs the reason why it combines the fourth generation (4G) and fifth-generation (5G) networks to facilitate data gathering and computation.

In that instance, it collaborated the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing to issue 4G Daluka SIM Cards to drivers. The standard helps in improving the capability of the network to get real-time information, especially in areas that do not have Wi-Fi connectivity.

While the GOOSE Q blockchain infrastructure still relies on the 4G network for data gathering, it is hopeful of migrating to the 5G network when its 3G partner, China Unicom is ready to delve into the niche.

GOOSE Q and the Future

Undoubtedly, the GOOSE Q blockchain is repositioning the Chinese logistics industry for the better. In the future, we’re hopeful of seeing remarkable improvements that would help the industry wax stronger.
